Future 1

Future #1 is a balanced hybrid cannabis strain released by Anesia Seeds, crossing Gorilla Glue #4 with Starfighter. It is best known for the potency claim attached to it, the breeder reported a 37% THC result, and that claim is the main reason to read its listing carefully.

Genetics and History

Sources agree on the parents. Gorilla Glue #4, the resin-heavy GG line that won back-to-back Cannabis Cups in 2014, supplies the sticky trichome coverage and the earthy, pungent base. Starfighter, a Tahoe Alien and Lemon Alien Dawg cross from Alien Genetics, is credited with the structure and the sharper top notes. Seed listings describe the result as an even 50/50 indica-sativa split.

Potency: Read This Before the Number

The breeder states that Future #1 showed 37% THC in repeated lab tests, and seed retailers repeat that figure. Independent data does not support it. Grow databases built from user-submitted harvests put the average at around 21%, which is where this listing sits.

A 37% flower result would be extraordinary: the ceiling for well-grown cannabis flower is generally held to be in the low thirties, and results above that usually turn out to be measurement artefacts, concentrate samples, or marketing. A breeder's own figure is not an independent one. Treat 21% as the number you are likely to encounter and the certificate of analysis on the jar as the only one that describes what you are buying.

Aroma and Flavour

Earthy and pungent, with a resinous pine edge from the Gorilla Glue side. The terpene listing follows the parents rather than a published assay for this cross.

Reported Effects

Users commonly report heavy relaxation with an initial euphoric lift, consistent with the Gorilla Glue heritage. These are reported impressions rather than guaranteed outcomes.

Growing Notes

A photoperiod plant of moderate difficulty with yields reported as high. Growers note the resin production the GG4 side is known for.
