Frost Berry

Frost Berry is an indica-leaning cannabis strain built on Blackberry genetics, reported at roughly 15% to 23% THC with around 1% CBD. It is not one standardised cultivar: at least five breeders use the name, and they do not agree on the second parent.

Genetics: One Shared Parent, Five Crosses

Blackberry is the one constant. Beyond it the accounts diverge:

The Icemaster and Apothecary Genetics version, which has the most detailed listing, pairs a Blackberry male to a Pure Indica, at roughly 60/40 indica. A NorStar Genetics version crossed Blackberry with Dead Head OG, never reached mass production, and holds a small cult following. The most common retail menu version names Blackberry and an unspecified indica at roughly 60% indica. Lucky 13 Seed Company's "Frostberry" is a different plant again: Granddaddy Purple crossed with Purple Prozac and Blackberry Kush, listed as 100% indica.

Frost Berry OG, sold in Canada through provincial retail, is a separate name: a balanced Blackberry and OG Kush cross listed at 19% to 25%. Frostberry Punch from 108Genetics is a sixth entry.

Because of this, the lineage here lists Blackberry alone. Naming the second parent would mean picking one breeder's cut and presenting it as the strain, which it is not.

Potency

Most lots of the better-documented versions test between roughly 15% and 23% THC, with about 1% CBD. One retail listing for an infused pre-roll shows 55.63%, which is a concentrate figure and tells you nothing about flower.

Berry and blackberry over a plain earthiness: the one characteristic every version of the name shares, since Blackberry is in all of them.

Reported Effects

Indica-leaning: users report relaxation tipping toward sleep. These are reported impressions rather than guaranteed outcomes, and with this many cuts in circulation the specific product matters more than the name.
