Cap Junky is a potent hybrid cannabis strain from a collaboration between Capulator and Seed Junky Genetics, two of the most influential breeders of the last decade. It is one of the most searched strains in Canada and one of the hardest to find on a provincial menu.

Genetics and History

The cross is reported as Alien Cookies paired with Kush Mints #11: Capulator's Alien Cookies line, the parent behind MAC, on one side, and Seed Junky's Kush Mints on the other. Sources specify Alien Cookies F2 or an Alien Cookies-leaning selection, though no primary breeder announcement confirms the exact parent selections.

You will see it sold under other names. Cap Junkie, Cap'n Kush and occasionally Miracle Mints all refer to this cultivar. Do not confuse it with Captain Crunch, an older and unrelated strain.

Potency

This is genuinely one of the stronger things on the market. Retail lab labels commonly advertise 28% to 32% THC, and reviews report it regularly testing above 30%. Those are retail and marketing figures rather than independent measurements, but the consensus across sources is unusually consistent at the high end.

At this potency the dose matters far more than the strain name. A small amount is a reasonable starting point even for regular consumers.

Aroma and Flavour

Gas and mint over a sweet, doughy base. Caryophyllene, limonene and myrcene lead, with humulene and linalool reported as meaningful minor notes. The mint character is the signature.
