White Truffle

White Truffle is an indica-dominant cannabis strain best described as a selected phenotype of Gorilla Butter rather than a cross of its own. Its savoury, earthy profile is genuinely unusual, closer to mushroom and nut than to the fruit and gas that dominate current menus.

Genetics and History

Gorilla Butter is Gorilla Glue #4 crossed with Peanut Butter Breath, and White Truffle is a phenotype selected out of it. Those two grandparents account for the profile: GG4 traces back to Chocolate Diesel, Chem's Sister and Sour Dub, and Peanut Butter Breath to Mendo Breath and Do-Si-Dos: the nutty, savoury side comes from there.

Breeder attribution is not settled. One listing credits Fresh Coast Seed Co. with development and BeLeaf of Oklahoma with marketing it; seed databases file the genealogy under Beleaf Cannabis; ILGM sells its own version. Several breeders or distributors have clearly offered cuts under the name, and one seed bank states plainly that the ancestry is undocumented because the cultivars were grown in secret.

Potency

Listings cluster tightly for once: 24% and 25% from the two major retail sources, with one guide reporting 22% to 26% across Truffle labels from 2021 to 2023.

Aroma and Flavour

Earthy and savoury with a nutty depth. The truffle comparison in the name is apt and is the reason the strain has a following. It does not taste like anything else on a dispensary shelf.

Reported Effects

Heavy relaxation with euphoria and appetite, tipping toward sleep. These are reported impressions rather than guaranteed outcomes.

Do not confuse it with Black Truffle, a separate cross of White Truffle and Pure Michigan.
