Strawberry Cake

Strawberry Cake is an indica-dominant cannabis strain from Heavyweight Seeds, a three-way cross of Chronic, White Widow and Cheese. Listings put it at roughly 70% indica. It also carries a measurable CBD figure: around 1.3%, which is unusual in a catalogue where almost every strain lists none.

Genetics and History

The Chronic, White Widow and Cheese parentage is consistent across the sources. Each parent is credited with something specific: Chronic with vigour and yield, White Widow with the heavy resin coat and a peppery note, and Cheese with the savoury, creamy base that sits underneath the strawberry.

Naming is inconsistent here. Some listings carry it as "aka Strawberry Cheesecake", which is a separate, documented strain, a Black Cherry Soda and Cheese cross from TGA Genetics. A Strawberry Cake Auto from a different seed company uses Strawberry Pie genetics at an 85/15 indica-sativa split and is not the same plant. Check the breeder before assuming a lineage.

Potency

Heavyweight's listing gives roughly 22% THC with 1.3% CBD. Retail lots are reported between 18% and 24%, clustering around 20% to 22%. The CBD figure, while low in absolute terms, is high relative to most modern high-THC flower, where it is often below 0.3%.

Aroma and Flavour

Funky cheese underneath sweet strawberry and a creamy cake note. The combination sounds improbable and is the strain's main point of interest: the savoury Cheese base keeps it from reading as a straightforwardly sweet dessert strain.

Reported Effects

Users describe a fast, uplifting euphoria that shifts into deep body relaxation, which is why it is usually framed as an evening strain. It is also popular among users managing stress and sleep difficulty. That is a description of how people use it, not clinical evidence, and nothing here is a medical claim.

Growing Notes

Reported as straightforward to grow with high yields. The Chronic side is credited with both.
