What Shiskaberry Is

Shiskaberry is a heavily indica cannabis strain from Barney’s Farm, crossing Blueberry with Afghani. Several sources specify DJ Short’s Blueberry as the parent, which is the line most of the modern berry cultivars descend from.

It is an old-school plant in a catalogue dominated by Cookies and Gelato descendants: berry and earth rather than candy and gas, and a body effect rather than a heady one.

Potency

Barney’s-linked listings give 22% THC, and seed retailers quote 18% to 22%. Some guides cite a wider 18% to 26%, but those pages attribute the strain to other breeders entirely, so we would not weight them.

Reported Effects

Descriptions are consistent and emphatic: primarily physical, extremely calming, and at higher doses sedating. One grower’s diary tracks the arc as giggly, then happy, then relaxed, then asleep. These are reported impressions rather than guaranteed outcomes.

Growing Shiskaberry

A photoperiod plant reported as straightforward to grow. Flowering estimates vary from six to eight weeks up to eight to ten; the seed databases give roughly 53 days.

As a photoperiod plant it needs a light-cycle change to begin flowering, so the figure above counts from that switch rather than from seed.

Note the outdoor yield is substantially higher than indoor. That gap is normal for a plant given unrestricted root space and full sun, and it is why the outdoor figure is the one most often quoted in marketing.
