Runtz Punch

What Runtz Punch Is

Runtz Punch is an indica-leaning cannabis strain bred by Herbies Seeds, generally given as a three-way cross of Zkittlez, Gelato and Fruit Punch.

Genetics: Two Accounts, and a Name Collision

The grow and retail databases agree on the Zkittlez, Gelato and Fruit Punch parentage and credit Herbies as original breeder. Herbies’ own guides say the exact parents are proprietary, and the major consumer database states the lineage is simply not available. The seed databases hold no lineage data at all.

Separately, a different Runtz Punch circulates in flower markets that is Runtz crossed with Purple Punch. That is not this plant.

Potency

Estimates range from 20–25% at the low end to 27–29% at the high end, with one retail source giving the full 20–29% spread. This listing uses 27%. All of these are crowd-sourced or retail figures rather than lab results.

Aroma and Flavour

Tropical candy sweetness from Zkittlez, grape and blueberry tones from Fruit Punch, and a creamy finish from the Gelato side.

Grower Data

Figures below come from the breeder’s own product feed. They describe what the plant does under the breeder’s conditions, which is a ceiling rather than a promise. Yields in particular depend far more on the grower than on the genetics.

As a photoperiod plant it needs a light-cycle change to begin flowering, so the figure above counts from that switch rather than from seed.

Note the outdoor yield is substantially higher than indoor. That gap is normal for a plant given unrestricted root space and full sun, and it is why the outdoor figure is the one most often quoted in marketing.
