Auto Purple

What Auto Purple Is

Auto Purple is an indica-leaning autoflowering cannabis strain from Original Sensible Seeds, and one of the gentler things in this catalogue at around 16% THC with a measurable 1.4% CBD.

Genetics: Sources Contradict Each Other

We list no lineage because the two accounts available cannot both be right. Several retail pages say a pure Afghan Purple was crossed with ruderalis for the autoflowering trait. A separate grower-information site lists the genetics as Northern Lights crossed with Haze. We could not confirm either against the breeder’s own catalogue.

Potency

About 16% THC with 1.4% CBD, from an aggregator listing. The seed databases describe its THC only as medium without giving a number. That CBD figure is unusually high for a modern strain and is part of why this reads as a gentler plant.

Why the Low Potency Is the Point

Most of this catalogue sits in the mid-to-high twenties. At 16% with real CBD alongside, Auto Purple is a genuinely different proposition, closer to what was ordinary before the potency race, and a reasonable choice if high-THC strains are more than you want.

Growing Auto Purple

Flowering estimates conflict badly: one source gives 78 days, a retailer gives six to eight weeks. Autoflowering, so no light-cycle change.

Grower Data

Figures below come from the breeder’s own product feed. They describe what the plant does under the breeder’s conditions, which is a ceiling rather than a promise. Yields in particular depend far more on the grower than on the genetics.

As an autoflower it moves to bloom on its own schedule rather than on a change of light cycle, so the figure above is seed to harvest rather than a flowering window. That makes it a more forgiving grow than a photoperiod plant of the same potency.
