An ounce of weed costs $80 to $120 at the typical Canadian online dispensary, and as little as $50 for AA flower. That is $2.86 to $4.29 a gram, depending on the shop: the same 28 grams costs 33% less at Bulkweedinbox than at BC Bud Supply. We took every ounce 8 online dispensaries listed in stock on October 17, 2026, 384 in all, reduced each one to a price per gram, and compared them grade by grade, because a shop full of AAAA will always look dearer than one selling mostly AA.
Key Takeaways
- Bulkweedinbox has the lowest median price per gram on an ounce: $2.86, or $80 for 28g.
- The spread between shops is $1.43 a gram, about $40 on a single ounce.
- Grade changes the picture. Compare like with like: Low Price Bud ranks 5th overall but ties for the cheapest AAAA.
- The cheapest single ounce we found was $1.79 a gram ($50), listed by MMJ Express, Bud Express Now and Chronic Farms across 9 strains.

What an ounce costs at each dispensary
For each shop we took the 28g price of every strain it listed in stock and divided by 28. The median is the middle of that list: half the shop's ounces cost more per gram, half cost less. It is a fairer read of a shop's prices than its single cheapest deal, which may be one strain.
| # | Dispensary | Ounces listed | Median per gram | Median ounce | Range per gram |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Bulkweedinbox | 67 | $2.86 | $80 | $1.96 to $6.79 |
| 2 | Green Society | 34 | $2.97 | $83 | $2.14 to $4.64 |
| 3 | MMJ Express | 67 | $3.21 | $90 | $1.79 to $5.54 |
| 4 | Bud Express Now | 46 | $3.21 | $90 | $1.79 to $5.00 |
| 5 | Low Price Bud | 97 | $3.39 | $95 | $2.14 to $5.36 |
| 6 | Chronic Farms | 47 | $3.39 | $95 | $1.79 to $5.00 |
| 7 | Speed Greens | 12 | $4.20 | $118 | $2.11 to $8.21 |
| 8 | BC Bud Supply | 14 | $4.29 | $120 | $3.21 to $5.36 |
Only shops with at least five ounces listed are ranked; with fewer, a median says little about the shop.
Grade by grade
Shops grade their own flower, AA up to AAAA, and the mix matters: AAAA makes up 57% of BC Bud Supply's ounces but none of Green Society's, so their overall medians are not like for like. Low Price Bud is the clearest case: 5th overall, but it ties for the cheapest AAAA. Here is the median price per gram at each grade, with the number of ounces behind it in brackets. The cheapest shop at each grade is in bold; n/a means fewer than three ounces at that grade.
| Dispensary | AA | AAA | AAAA |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bulkweedinbox | $2.50 (19) | $2.86 (34) | $3.57 (10) |

| MMJ Express | $2.32 (13) | $3.21 (23) | $4.64 (31) |
| Bud Express Now | $2.14 (11) | $3.21 (17) | $4.29 (18) |
| Low Price Bud | $2.14 (10) | $3.21 (32) | $3.57 (55) |

These are the cheapest ounces of weed listed online right now at each grade, live from the same shops, one card per strain. Prices update as the shops change them, so they can differ from the October figures in the tables.

Before you order: shipping and codes
At every one of these shops a median-priced ounce comes in under the free-shipping threshold, so ordering one ounce on its own usually means paying for shipping; adding a second item to clear the threshold can be the cheaper move. A coupon matters too: a 15% code takes about $0.43 a gram off even the cheapest median here, more than the gap between many neighbours in the table above. Check each shop's current codes before you order.
| Dispensary | Free shipping from | Median ounce | Coupons |

| MMJ Express | $150 | $90 | MMJ Express codes |
| Bud Express Now | $150 | $90 | Bud Express Now codes |
| Low Price Bud | $150 | $95 | Low Price Bud codes |
| Chronic Farms | $150 | $95 | Chronic Farms codes |
| Speed Greens | $150 | $118 | Speed Greens codes |

What we cannot tell you
- Grades are the shop's own. There is no common standard for AA to AAAA between online dispensaries, so one shop's AAA may not match another's.
- These are listed prices on one day. Prices and stock change often. Figures are as listed on October 17, 2026, before tax, shipping and any coupon.
- We have not tested the flower. Price per gram says nothing about potency, freshness or quality.
- Only shops in our price feed are included. This is 8 online dispensaries, not the whole market.
